Dad's big bass Dad's big bass

Here's Joe Wakeman with a whopping 6.5 pound Largemouth, caught on a minnow-style lure in May 1966 at Little Grassy Lake.

Mom the netter. bass replica. Mounted after 34 years. (Now that's a patient fisherman.)

Joe Wakeman's 34 inch Muskie, caught on light spinning gear. This was the first fish caught on a new pole. The second fish on that pole was an 18 inch bass.

Here's Dan Matern with a beautiful 37 inch Wisconsin Muskie, caught on light tackle and monofilament. Nice job Dan !!!

 


Here's Joe Wakeman and Kenny Hodge with a pair of huge Walleyes, 6.5 pounds and 7 pounds. They were caught at Twin Bear Lake, Wisconsin. Summer of 1962.

Micah's big tuna.

Here's Micah Wakeman with his monster Tuna that weighed over 80 pounds. This was a few years ago. His arms are now bigger around than this fish, and he's a firefighter.

 

 


Jerry's giant sturgeon.

This is Jerry Wakeman with this giant sturgeon caught in 1988. It was 81 inches long and weighed between 125 and 135 pounds, and was probably between 80 and 100 years old. She took 1 hour and 45 minutes to land, and was obviously released after this photo.

Big Crappie.

Here's A whopping 2 lb 9 oz , 16 inch Crappie from Jerry.

 


Here's Dr Mark McGuire aka "The Jig Master General" with a 15.5 inch crappie taken on a jig and tube while bass fishing at the Secret Bass Pond, where this slab crappie is still swimming around.

 


This is a 3.1 pound ornamental goldfish that I caught at Busse Woods.

 


Marshall catfish.This was Labor Day 1966 at Lincoln Trails Park near Marshall, IL. The largest fish was 6 3/4 lbs (caught by Joe Wakeman). This catch set a new park record. All fish were caught on rod & reel.

Here's Chris Pedigo with his beautiful Bull Elk taken with a bow at over sixty yards. He dropped within 100 feet. Nice shot. Chris proudly added this elk to his wall, along with his collection of whitetail mounts.
