This 5 pound 13 ounce Sangchris Largemouth Bass went for a natural pattern shallow shad rap in about 4 feet of water, on April 9, 2005.
This 5 pound 10 ounce Shabbona Largemouth Bass went for the golden spinnerbait in 4 feet of water, on August 2, 2006.
June 29, 2006 was a great day to be out at Shabbona, this 21 inch 5 lb 1 oz Largemouth Bass was the largest of 6 bass meeting or beating the 18 inch mark, and a really plump 37 inch bonus Muskie was the icing on the cake to the day when I caught my 100th bass over 18 inches.
This gang of Bass were caught on Spring Lake South, near Peoria IL on March 29, 2006, and weighed in at 5 lb 8 oz, 5lb 4 oz and 5 lb 3 oz, and a bonus 19.5 incher that I didn't bother to weight.

13, 2006 at Shabbona Lake, and weighed in at 5 lb 7oz, 5 lb 2 oz, and 5.0 lb,
and were caught along with 9 other bass over 17 inches, all on a natural pattern
shallow shad rap.
This 5 pound 5 ounce Largemouth Bass came out of Sangchris Lake, near Springfield IL on January 11, 2006. He went for a natural pattern shallow shad rap in about 4 feet of water.
This 5 pound 4 ounce Largemouth Bass came out of Spring Lake South, near Peoria IL on February 2, 2006. He went for a Yum Wooley Curlytail grub in about 6 feet of water.
This 5 1/4 pound, 19 3/4 inch butterball came from Evergreen Lake near Bloomington IL on July 7th 2004. Lisa and I were taking the kids for a "vacation" at Grandma's house, and just had to stop and fish for a few hours on the way.
I caught this pair of Sangchris bass in February 2004. They hit 6 minutes apart, and weighed in at an even 5.0 and 5.1 pounds on the digital scale. If I hadn't put the first one in the livewell for a picture, I would have sworn that I recaught the same bass when the second one hit !!! They both went for a natural pattern shallow shad rap in about 3 feet of water.
This nice plump 20.5 inch 5 pound 3 ounce Mallard Lake bass came out for a picture on October 28, 2003. He went for a natural pattern shallow shad rap in about 3 feet of water.
Bradley, Westley and I were out at Evergreen Lake , near Bloomington IL, when we put this whopping 24 inch 5.1 pound Saugeye (sauger/walleye hybrid) in the boat on October 10, 2003.

Wooddell nailed his first true Lunker Bass at Lake Sangchris, near Springfield
IL, on November 6th 2004. This bass
was over 19 inches and weighed 4 1/4 pounds. Nice job Wes !!! He went for a
golden spinnerbait
in about 2 feet of water.
This is a 34 inch, over 20 pound carp that I pulled out of the north pool at Busse Woods. With this fish, I won the "In-Fisherman Master Angler Award" for the Carp species.
