This fish was caught on a modified spinnerbait at Shabbona Lake on Friday the 13th. It was also a Full Moon that night. We had been seeing the muskies right up in the dense weedbeds, and decided to join them for a little while. What a thrill !!

This May bass was caught at Shabbona Lake on a shallow running crankbait. We were parked right on the edge of the emerging weedbeds. All of the weeds were still under the surface. Lisa caught a 17 incher about 10 minutes after I caught this one.

We were camping at Shabbona Lake when Lisa caught this fish on a minnow. She made the crappie that Dad and I were catching look a little skimpy.

The Best CHANNEL CATFISH :  over 26 inches, 9.6 pounds

Channel Catfish of the year

I was rolling a spinnerbait over the tops of some very shallow weeds when this fish hit and decided to drag my boat about 30 feet up into the weedbed before I could land him. This was a great day overall, I also caught seven bass and hooked two muskies that day, and called it quits by 2 PM.
