Fishing at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin

21 inch Smallmouth Bass

This was my 2nd ever trip to Lake Geneva, and my 2nd ever "smallmouth bass fishing trip."

20 "  19"  19.5"

I have to admit, after my first trip, I was thinking "It's Okay, but what's all the fuss about smallie fishing?"

NOW I GET IT !!!

18"  18.5"  18.5" Skinny

I've never had fish fight as hard as these boys did today. Smallies ARE the ultimate freshwater fighters. I was impressed.

Launched at 10 AM from Linn Pier, and fished until 4 PM.

Water temp was 53 degrees, visibility about 10 FEET.

As is the local tradition, I went over to the shallows for some perch, then baited up with them and fished the ledges. (If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right?)

I stuck to the "Williams Bay" area, mainly fishing in 30 -35 feet of water. Caught a total of 9 fish, all but 2 over 18 inches. I had something big snap my line at one point, Pike? I'm guessing.

THANKS AGAIN ROUMEL

Good Luck Everybody !!!!
