18.5 incher
Fat 18 incher I went out for a morning trip again today. I launched the boat at 6:30 AM and was back on the trailer at 12:30. Water temp was 62 degrees and the clarity 6 inches to a foot. I threw several different baits today, but the best pattern was the Floating blue/chrome Rat-L-Trap in 3 feet of water around new weed growth. It caught an 18.5 incher, and 16.75", 16", 15", 14.5" keepers, and about 4 runts to every keeper. I also threw the golden spinnerbait for a little while. It caught an 18 incher, and one 15 incher. But the most excitement came when a Muskie shot out and grabbed the golden spinnerbait at the boat, he screamed out about 30 feet of line , then went 100% airborne and was gone, spinnerbait destroyed !!!! ( and it was a brand new one...) I seem to be in a new pattern, hook the big one, then LOSE IT !!!! Good Luck Everybody See you on the water.
