July 14, 2008 Fishing at Delavan Lake, Delavan WI
MY FIRST FULL FISHING DAY SINCE APRIL !!!!! Geez, where did the time go? Anyway, Joey and I launched around 9:30AM and fished until almost sundown. The bass were scarce, but the pike and Big Ole Bluegill were easy and plentiful. Gamefish were mainly on blueblack chatterbaits and ratlin' Rapalas in 6-10 feet of water. We had 3 decent bass and 11 or 12 Northern Pike. I hooked and lost a BIG pike, BOOO!!!!!! Bluegills were on "trout worms" from Wal-Mart and caught in 8-10 feet of water. We kept some for a "fish fry." Water temp was 75 degrees and visibility was 6-7+ feet in most places. When it got hot, we jumped in for a swim. Hope to be out again soon !!!!!
Good Luck Everybody !!!
