May 8, 2001 Fishing at Shabbona Lake
I was out looking for Muskies today. The winds were strong and most of the other boats were hiding in the coves, but I took the advice of the In-Fisherman Pros, and headed out to the windiest point I could find. I was running Super Shad-Raps as fast as I could crank them. I started out with a beauty of a Muskie who shook out my lure at the boat. Probably a 40 incher. I made the mistake of not setting the hook repeatedly. Oh well, I did manage to boat a pair of nice bass. 18 inches and 16inches. Not a bad day for fishing in WHITE CAPS. Thanks In-Fisherman.
