Fishing at Delavan Lake, Delavan WI

Lisa and I launched at 8 AM and fished until 7 PM.

The water temp was 79 degrees and the visibility has decreased to about 18 inches. We fished the same pattern as July 24, 2008, and Aug 1, 2008 and had similar results, but couldn't quite break the 5 Pound Barrier.

The top picture fish was 4 1/2 pounds, but wasn't the largest fish.

These two both weighted 4 3/4 pounds

20" 4# 12 oz 19.5" 4# 12 oz

but Lisa didn't like these pictures as much, so they were demoted to thumbnails.

We brought the video camera and got some Action on Film !!!

We ended the day with 9 bass over the 18 inch limit.

Delavan is a Fantastic Bass Fishery, but it is not a pristine Wisconsin wilderness !!!! The shoreline is 100% developed, launching is expensive and very limited, parking is tough, and it is packed with skiers throwing 3 foot wakes all day. But if you know this in advance, it's a cool lake/playground.

Good Luck Everybody !!!
